Wolf stove beeps for a few minute after each start

Hello all,

My stove starts to develop the following issues after I completely clean the stove with Easy-Off Professional Fume Free Max Oven Cleaner.

The igniter and plate cover are very clean. However, the two out of the four burners keep beep/clicks for a few minutes after each start, then it stops.

I have researched all kinds of clean method on the youtube w/o success. Other people had the clicks issue that doesn't stop. While mine burner stops after a few minutes(2/3 minutes).

After the burner stops click, if you start the burner again, you will NOT see the click issues. However, the same issue comes back next day. Basically, we have to hear the click noise for a few minutes before it becomes quiet.

Can someone hear about this issue before?

Thank you

Is that a mistype..... did you mean a Wolf stove ?
Do you have the model number ?
Do you use that cleaner on the top of the stove too ?

I'm not sure but I'd imagine that stove uses a re-ignition system. That means the spark will restart if the flame goes out. Each channel of the spark module operates independently. Usually if you have any sparking when no burners are on..... it's the spark module itself. However.... if that cleaner is getting into the switches on the burner knobs.... it can cause a short and start the sparking.

Sorry, the stove is Wolf Gas Stove and the model number is # CT30G/S.

The issues we have are on left side of the stove.

I didn't spray the cleaner on the plate. The cleaning work had been done a few weeks ago so I think any build-up moisture should have been dried. I regularly clean the stove and used to only experience the click issue for the first time after cleanup. However, this time the click is extended to a few minutes.

I have posted pictures to show you how the stove looks like.
will the extended click damage the ignition system?

Thank you

My burner doesn't click if I turn it off.

The issue is that if I turn it on, the ignitor keeps beep for a few minutes even if the flame goes on perfectly.

Thx

The ignition system uses the flame to create a bridge from the burner to the igniter.
If the flame isn't touching the igniter the spark will not stop.

Hello Pjmax,

What you said is that the igniter keeps sparking until the flame is covering the ignitor. If that is the case, then my guess is that the gas flow initially is not strong enough to extend to the location of the ignitor. I will check again.

Thank you

Little update on my issues.

Today, I remove the stove gas distributor and found that the fastener holding down the igniter is stuck although the igniter is loose. I fail to tighten or remove the holding Philips screw.

Any suggestion to remove this screw for cleaning up the igniter?

Thank you
