Gas oven: gas smell despite new igniter

Hello, i noticed that my gas oven (DCS RGT-305) was taking time to light up and i had a smell of gas. I was told to start off my changing the igniter. Well it helped, stove starts up real fast, however, i am still smelling the gas scent as i did in the past. Should i be looking to replace any other part that may be contributing to the smell of gas? i seem to get the smell once the igniter glows and gas valve opens. Could there be a problem with the gas valve not regulating properly? i can't think of anything else that could be contributing to the smell of gas.
any help is gladly welcomed!

Every gas stove I've owned has produced some smell of gas when it ignites. It's more noticeable on it's first ignition when cold.

Odors around stoves, dryers are often caused by something around appliance. any chemicals, cleaning products, painting going on in or around house? Had a dryer complaint about smell and found out they were painting next door house.

There are many companies manufacturing and selling igniters. Some good... some crap.

There is only the gas valve and the igniter in series. If you get gas.... the valve is ok.
However.... some igniters don't draw enough to fully open the safety valve.
If you have access to a clamp on amprobe.... check the AC current draw. You want to see at least 3A and upwards to 3.5A. You can check anywhere in the circuit.
