HotPoint gas range installation
#1

So I bought the cheapest gas range I could find. Home Depot $394. I had them deliver and install it.
HD hires a company to install large appliances.
The stove is level but it sits about an inch above my countertop.
Should the install guys have lowered it to line up with the countertop or is that my job?
Also, can someone point me to everything I need to know about cooking on a gas stove?
Right now my pans are so slippery on the grates I'm afraid the spaghetti sauce pan is going to slip right onto the floor.
Thanks you guys so much for your help.

Ranges typically sit slightly above the countertop.
You'd have to check all four feet to see if it could be lowered more.
This is the service forum so I can't give you much help on how to cook on a gas stove.
I have a gas stove and have not had any problems with pans sliding off the burner.
Make sure they are centered on the grate from the start.
