Smile repair of oven control knob Wedgewood stove.

Oven knob appears to be bent downward, making it difficult to turn. I removed the spring and outside ring, and it works OK for now. Is it possible to straighten the knob assembly or do I need to get a replacement? thank you

Is it a bad knob or is the shaft bent or is the valve loose and angled down?

Welcome to the forums.

It sounds like the shaft is bent on the gas valve.
If your oven is as old as most Wedgewood appliances the gas valves are not easy to find.
I would not recommend trying to straighten yours out until you've located a replacement part.
