I have a GE Monogram range model#ZR90301P that the igniter won't stop clicking in off position but is off when turned on. I've cleaned as directed on the Internet and still clicking. red light on knob stays on while in the off position and clicks. could this be from a faulty ignition at the knob or whole module?
If the igniters spark when all the knobs are turned off.... it's caused by a defective spark module or liquid in the burner control. Since one of your burners is showing active when it's turned off.... that would indicate a problem burner control. It could still be water/liquid got into the control.
Thank you PJMAX for the reply. Sorry I got the serial number the model number number mixed up. the model number is ZGP366N N1SS. I'll look at both module and burner control. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
The circuit is fairly basic. Power (red) is supplied to a switch on each burner control. When turned on it supplies power to the LED and the spark module. In order to make the LED come on or the spark module to operate requires one of the switches to close. If you have an LED on.... that would be the burner switch you'd need to check. There is a tech sheet pdf posted below.

Thank you PJMAX for the info. I finally got around to fixing it and all I had to order was the Harness Burner Box PART# WB24K10086. Now there's no more clicking
Hi all.
Moderator: posting here as best guess, but feel free to move top Cleaning forum if that's better.
I have a G.E. gas cooker, model JGS750SEF2SS if we care. It has two heavy cast-iron stove-top grates that look like this:

While there's a lot good about them, the two grates are a pig to clean, mostly because they are too big, at 21 x 16 inches, to put into the kitchen sink to soak. I can't use the bathtub, because it would scratch the tub. Also, the cured-on gunge, and it does get cured on because it's stove-top and it gets extremely hot, rips the heck out of regular sponge-style scourers, and wire pads (Brillo-style / S.O.S) aren't particulary effective: they disintegrate before the gunge does, again because i can't soak first, which would be my first choice.
So does anyone have any proven methods or implements that make this cleaning job any easier? I wonder if I'm missing something: there must be thousands of similar grates all over the world.
Thanks!

Thank you Pjmax.
you provided a fix on a 2017 post regarding a gas flame out on a new stove. We just purchased a cafe range and I removed the knob and was able to access the screw to prevent flameout on lo. Anyway that thread was closed and I’m new here and did not know how to thank you directly. Hope you receive this Much gratitude. Read More
