GE Monogram spark problem

Separated from GE Monogram spark ignition problem

I have GE Monogram gas range model# ZGU375NSD2SS, a 5-burner. The left burner will not stop clicking when it is left alone without flame. It does not click while there is a flame. I cleaned the electrode and surrounding areas thoroughly with a wire brush and 400-grain sandpaper and then with alcohol. The cleaning appears to have no effect. The only way to stop the clicking is to unplug it from the wall. So, I have to crawl under the counter to unplug the range after igniting. This is not a desirable way of standard operating procedure for a gas range. I am willing to open up the range top to get inside if the fix does not require special tools.

Is there something I can do?
