I have a Magic Chef gas oven/range. After it had completed the self cleaning I got an error code of F2. This stopped, but now I cannot not unlock the oven door. Anything I can do?

Hello SAF and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.

Try removing the electric cord from the wall socket. Leave the oven unplugged for several hours before plugging it back into the electric power. Hopefully by doing this it will release the locking device.

If that fails, once again unplug the appliance, then try using a thin blade knife or scerw driver to release the lock by entering through the latch lever space.

If all else fails, you may have to remove the glass front panel and access the locking device from inside the cabinet.

Regards & Good Luck
