Broken fan on a gas heater
#1
At the end of the summer the fan on our central air/heater broke. It's starting to get cold, but we have not had it serviced (and have not attempted to fix it ourself). Is it safe to turn it on to see if it will work or should we make sure it is repaired before turning it on?
This is probably a stupid question, but I just thought I would check!
THANK YOU!

Hello hays0723 and Welcome to the Do-It-Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.
It all depends upon what you mean by "Broke."
If it fails to operate at all, replace the motor.
Kindly expound in more detail the exact problem with the fan motor. What happened when it broke? Post the age of this furnace, it's location, etc.
