Water in Drain Pan - Vent Plug Leaking
HELP! I'm a brand new member. I have a 20-year old Central Air Conditioning unit in my attic. It's a Heil Quaker. The unit is leaking water from the Vent Plug which is on the Evaporation Coil into the Drain Pan.
Are there any do-it-yourself remedies? Any assistance you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!

the vent plug
you are describing, where is it located? is it a seperate drain that has been capped, or turned up, or a T in the drain itself? cut the drain, if it is holding water, clear it, that is your problem, if no water in drain, remove face of coil and expose evap drain pan, it may very well be rusted out.
