adding a vent to the garage
#1

Does anyone know where I can access DETAILED instructions on adding a duct to an a/c trunk in my attic to be used for a new vent to be installed in my garage? I've heard from several people that this task would be simple - but since I've never done anything like this, I'd feel better with some help. I've already purchased the duct, vent, coupler and some expensive silver tape. I'm sure I'll need a tool for cutting into the trunk, and a plan for installing the vent - but that's about all I'm sure about. A resouce for timid yet capable (I think) women handymen would be perfect!

A good place to start.
For Detail:
Look at http://www.llbuildingproducts.com/ll...html#ductsize1
I thought it might answer at least some of your needs.

Problem with detailed install
Installs vary so greatly, thats why they haven't made a "standard" way of doing it.
For cutting the trunk line, plian tin snips work well
Are you running flex to the garage ?
Did you buy a separate damper to go in the takeoff of the trunk ??
