Squealing Outdoor Unit

I live in Florida and have a Rheem central air conditioner. It works very well but the outdoor unit has recently begun to make a squealing noise. The sound comes and goes, but seems to be happening more often with each passing day. I thought it might need to be oiled. If so, how do I do this and what kind of oil should I use? Are there any other reasons why it would be making this sound?

oil the motor

only if it has oil ports. use a nondetergent oil. sounds like bearings going out.
