Air duct sweating. Water damage to ceiling.

I have a problem with a heating/cooling duct that runs through the ceiling of my foyer into my garage. The problem is only in the summer when it is cooling and the garage temperature is high. I am getting condensation in the duct and it is absorbing into the ceiling. The ceiling is constantly needing to be repaired. Any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this problem?

insulate

the duct, even if it already is, there may be gaps. also sealing the duct joints will help.
