Insulate AC Condensate Drain

The PVC condensate drain line in my old house seems to sweat a lot. I live in a VERY humid climate (New Orleans). Is there any problem in insulating the drain pipe to eliminate the sweating? I've never seen it done before so I wondered if there is a good reason not to.

insulate it. they are generally insulated above cielings in commercial buildings (saw one today). also increasing the pitch will get the cold water out of there quicker.
