American Standard vs. Trane

Are american standard and trane products one and the same? I know american standard owns trane, but are thier hvac products the same or have major differences? It seems to me that they are just different labels. Like Carrier/Bryant and Rheem/Ruud. I dont really see the point in this. Just curious.

The differences are minor. Many products are identical under the skin.

They are both the same.. Just a diffrent sticker on the units, and paint color.

You'll see that in everything.. Cars.. Major Appliances...

BTW, any luck on your furnace at your apt?
