Lightbulb Adding Heating ducts in rooms without them

I have a small rancher with 3 bedrooms. The furnace is very new ans was here when we bought the place. It is about 4 years old. When they installed it they only put vents in two rooms. the living room and the master bedroom. I basically want to run a main vent off it into the attic and then of that to the kitchen and bathroom and the other two bedrooms. Were is a good place to learn how the best way to do this is? I wanna study up and learn all about it before planning and doing anything.

THanks.

Look at this information for a good start.

http://www.llbuildingproducts.com/ll...html#ductsize1

Round is the best shape for a duct. Square is next. The flatter and wider it is the more friction there is and the duct area must get bigger. A ratio of 4 to 1 is the flattest recommended ratio.

Also look at http://hem.dis.anl.gov/eehem/01/010314.html
