Plugged drain on air conditioner condesate piping

We live in Louisiana and of course it is always humid. Our condensate piping seems to be plugged. We have plastic piping. What is a safe, home remedy we can pour down the drain to unplugged piping?

Have not had any luck with pouring in anything to unclogged drains. However, If you have a wet-vac, and you know where the drain line exits the house outside, use wet-vac and suck all of the slime out.

Normally the piping from the cooling coil drops into an open drain.
Is it the pipe near the cooling coil that is plugged or the house drain?

You might not like this but most of the time just try and blow back in the drain line . The end away from the unit-------and look out. Works most of the time . Then HD has some pills you can drop,in at the coil. ED

ED is right

pouring bleach, etc is a quick fix, those "pan tabs" as we call them are good a steadily producing flow of bacteria/algae eating chemicals.

All good advice.

Once it's unclogged, a cup of bleach and 1/2 gallon water every 6 months is the way to go.
