Heat pump
Have a Nordyne 2 stage heat and 1 stage cool heat pump. Now sometimes when the heat is running, the heat i guess cycles off but the fan keeps running and blows cold air. U can cut the thermostat off but it keeps running 5 or 10 min. before cutting off.
Any ideas?

The fan is likely continuing to run on a sequencer or a time delay relay, to ensure the elements are cooled down when on auxiliary heat.

Heat pump
The only thing is that it has never done until now, the air that comes is like the ac is running. It brings the temp in the house back below where it should be. If u dont try to cut it off with the thermostat it runs for 15 or 20 min. blowing cold air

Is the condensing unit also running? Is the compressor running but not the condenser fan motor?(defrost cycle) About the thermostat, is it a programmable? Under the cover, does it have a C terminal? Is the dip switch (or jumper) set up for heat pump? Even during a defrost, the electric strip heat should come in during the defrost. Have you looked at the air handler?
