boiler heat with circulation problems

I have a boiler system(hot water) with cast iron rads. My boiler is located in the basement and supplies water to rads on the 1st & 2nd Flr. On second flr. I only have one rad. All of the rads on the 1st flr get hot and have good water circulation. My problem is that the rad on the 2nd flr. stop receiving hot water(any water). I bled all the rads on the 1st flr. and when I attempted to bleed the 2nd. flr I received minimal air pressure and no water. I went as far as removing the rad from the supply and return lines to see if water would flow and still recieved no water. What could my problem possibly be.

What is the system water pressure? Sounds like it is low, under 12 to 15psi.

Put that radiator back in the circuit before adding water to the system. You probably only need a few more pounds of pressure.

You mite also want to check to see if there is any type of zone valve in line. this is a electrical valve to shut off zone.

two thermostats????

Hi... I need your help. My cousin lives in a townhouse and there are two thermostats... one downstairs and one upstairs. They are both older manual thermostats. She wants me to replace them with digital ones so she can set the heat and air automatically. The problem is, I don't know why she has two now? I took them apart. The one downstairs has no levers on it for FAN or Heat or Air... just a dial and a level to move for setting the temp. Inside, there were three wires, of which only two were connected... the White and Red wire were connected... the blue wire was not. The one upstairs has levers for Fan (on, off, auto) and Heat or Off or Cool. It has more wires... white, red and yellow. Does anyone know why there are two??? Any can I replace them with standard digital thermostats? Thank you for your help.
