Question Adding A/C to central heat

Approxamately what does it cost to add a 2 ton split A/C to an existing heating system ?? Include A coil, lines, condenser and labor.
Looking at a 10 SEER Goodman or something similair.

Not to discourage you....... GOODMAN is going to be one of the cheapest unit you could buy. And you know what they say..."YOU GET EHAT YOU PAY FOR!"

I am in Omaha NE. and a Trane unit would run about $1500-$2000 excluding electrical.

Don't know what the Okies get but I would start at $2000 for a York system complete. $2500 is not out of the question if your electric panel is already full or furnace plenum is very difficult to adapt coil to. Goodman/Janitrol is probably lowers cost but quality is nothing to brag about and warranty replacement is HORRIBLE. It took me 13 months to get credit for a 2 month old compressor with a bad weld that leaked.

location of furnace is important

here in atlanta the hacks would get 1200 to 1500, goodman, no electrical. carrier from a reputable dealer, look at 1800 to 2200.
