A Coil in Gas Furnace

A Coil in Gas Furnace
I am planning air conditioning to be installed in a few months and know there is an A Coil in the furnace. What I don't know is what size it is. I don't see a trap door to access it so will likely have to disassemble the sheet metal to get to it. Is there any way around this? I have a Goodman Gas Furnace and it is rated maximum 3ton a/c.
thanks for your replies.

Coady:
So, you are saying that you have a furnace with the A-coil pre-installed?
If that's the case then the size of the coil must be determined to be able to match it to the correct size condensing unit.
Could you get that info from the one that installed it? If not, you will have to get at it through the sheet metal.
Having the coil in place is not always an advantage because the a/c installer would likely be reluctant to provide warranty, especially if the coil wasn't the same make as the outdoor unit.

Pre Installed!
Yes I built this home and needed to finish off the basement. I thought if wanted to install A/C later..without pre arranging it I would be unable. So I have the A Coil, the electrical, the copper tubes(capped at both ends) all I really need is the outside unit the gas and installation.
Of course I need to know the size of coil to determine which unit I can use.
