Question FlowCheck Noise

Hi,
I have a 4 zone baseboad hotwater system.
there are 4 circulators and 4 flowchecks in the system.
1 for indirect HW tank (3/4"),
2 for 2 zones (3/4"),
and 1 for a split zone (1") splits to 2 (3/4") pipes and then comes back and combines again just before the circulator.
(There is a Y shaped valve on top of this circulator that allows each leg to be closed individualy)
The Flowcheck that is making noise is the 1 inch one.
It is a Taco. The noise is kind of a rattling noise that can be heard all the way upstairs.
I have purged the air out of the system.(did it when I put the new Buderous boiler in last year)
I am not sure if it is some air in the system that is causing the valve in the flow check to rattle, or if it is the circulator going bad, or the flowcheck itself.
There is an airscoop, and air vents at the top of each circulator.
Nothing comes out of them except water.

Do these flowchecks ever go bad?
Should I continue down the air path? or the circulator path?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
Michael

Michael:

Hard to say without being there, but if your sure the system is air free it would likly be the flow check.

The seat moves back and forth in normal operation and can eventually wear.
See this alot in air compressor check valves.
