Two Speed vs. Single Speed Furnace

Replacing old furnace with new furnace plus central air. Wondering if it's worth the extra expense to put in a two speed, not a variable speed, instead of a single speed furnace. Leaning toward Carrier.

Carrier's 80% and 93% AFUE two speed/two stage heating units do work well and have not had a high percentage of breakdowns as with their variable speed units. Go for the 93% if you can, the savings in fuel and operating costs are very minimal with the 80%.
