blower won't shutoff

i have a bryant hot air furnance. the burners won't go on i'm in the process of changing the electronic igniter. but my blower does not shut off if i shut the thermostat it only shuts off when i shut the switch on the furnance. could that problem be part of the electronic igniter or the limit switch any other suggestions. i have experience working on hot water and steam systems at work but this is my own home .thank you. P.S. does anyone know where i could get a bryant trouble shooting guide.

Sounds like an open limit switch

i agree

check all limit switches, may be one in the blower as well as any roll outs that could be tripped

A little more info here would be better before getting into what the problem might be since it could be a relay or a fan switch as well.

Do you have a/c that uses the furnace blower?
Do you mean when you turn the thermostat switch to "off" or when you turn the thermostat to it's lowest setting?
Does the furnace light up when you set the thermostat switch to "heat" and turn it up all the way?
Is the thermostat fan switch in the "auto" or the "on" position?

Let's not guess at the problem and get tx off on a wild goose chase, we're better than that.
