Electric Heat

A friend of mine is considering buying a condo that uses electric heat. As I remember, it was a popular item in new homes in the early seventies (in Michigan anyway). It was run thru a home via wiring run/stapled to the ceiling drywall and sprayed over with a coating material that is similar to the "Stucco" used in homes in Southern California.. My question is - Why was it so popular since electric generated heat seems to be much more expensive than gas? Can the unit be converted back to natural gas and how would the ducting be installed thru the condo???

elec. heat

Cost Cost Cost just about "anyone "would or could put it in that way at the time. It ran about $300. to $400 for heat in the whole home where I was at the time.Have cut a lot of them out and put in heat and ac for the home. How and where you can run ducts , some one has to see the job. call a HVAC and get some bids ED
