heating and cooling

Can anyone advice which professional to contact who can visit a house and determine correct solution why part of the house is cold during winter and hot during summer inspite of the centralized heating and cooling system? I have had technicians who would just come in and fix the unit and say that air is comming out but still it does not solve the problem. My house is 5 years old yet. Please help

You will have to find a service company that can both properly diagnose and service your present furnace, a/c and ductwork as well as provide you with an accurate heat/cool load calculation.

Read http://forum.doityourself.com/showth...hreadid=122673 and provide us with more info and maybe we can help.

balancing

It sounds as if you need a balancing company to properly balance the system. The easiest cureall is to run the fan in the continuous fan mode. Also make sure you have a return drop for that room especially if it has been an ongoing problem. The only other way to insure you have the proper air flow is to measure it with a balometer. Anyone that puts their hand up there and says thats about______cfm, is not an air balancer. Insist the air flow is measured with a balometer. One problem you may have is the walls are not insulated of that room as compared with the rest of the house. In the meantime run the fan and keep the door open if it has no return.
