Question How much space is needed for installation of an electric furnace?

How much space is needed for installation of an electric furnace? I am remodeling and I have a huge amount of space around my furnace. I was wandering if anyone knew how much of that space is actually needed for the furnace alone. I want to cut into the wall to make a in wall cabinet. Any help would be most appreciated.
Thank You.

Usually clearance to combustibles isn't that much, like a few inches. Look on the furnace dataplate, it may tell you there. Otherwise call a dealer for that brand or the manufacturer.

furnace

1" on sides and back. Now for the front you need room to service it and on some room so you can change the air filter from the front. Also so that you can pull the blower out there in front of the unit. ED
