installing p trap for condensate line
What size (currently 3/4) pipe is OK for p trap and what pieces/shapes should be used to make it. Also, how close or far from the inlets from the AC or humidifier should it be? Thank you.

The P trap should be right there by the outlet of the A coil. You can buy them made up or like hvac4u said here. Think of a T and put it so its up and down at the coil. now go down and put 3 L90o to make the trap and run the rest of the drain line off this. Now on the top of this T put a very short pipe up and put a cap on this BUT DONT GLUE THE CAP. This way you can pull the cap off and add a little clorox when you want. We would do all this in 3/4 pvc pipe. You can buy this T made up and it has a rubber like cap on the top of the T.
