water dripping from inside heatpump unit

Water is streaming from inside heat pump unit into
drip pan every time unit kicks off, instead of going
out the piping to the outside.

Do you have a trap in the drain line there? is the pipe PVC . you can cut it near the unit and blow both ways in the pipe. just put the pipe back with a pvc coupling or you can go out side I think you said and blow back from there and see if it will open up the drain pipe. if you cant blow in the pipe you can try a shop Vac and see if it can blow back in the drain line or suck it ED
