Question New Goodman Condenser - How to quiet it down?

A service tech replaced our old Carrier condensing unit with a 4 ton Goodman. The new unit is LOUD...the neighbors are complaining that it keeps them awake at night.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Noise

There are covers that you can put over the compressor. There are rubber like pads that say it absorbs sound and the vibration. The fan blades is it ok, same pitch on all blades. ED

Thanks!

Can the covers be installed by a handy homeowner? Are they expensive?

I don't want to go through a service tech if at all possible...

Thanks again.

A/C

If you can find a cover for it there its just a thing some like a small dome that just go's over the compressor in side the unit. Look around you can find also like small rubber pads that go under the unit also that help some. You can do all of this yourself. Id turn off the power before you go in to the outside unit thats all ED
