Question

Looking for best burner for an "ecconomical" (cheap) residential boiler. Popular choices seem to be Becket and Carlin. Which might be better for reasonably talented homeowner to do basic maintenance. Which models are most efficient, lowest amps, easiest to adjust, etc. Why?

The answers to your questions can best be answered by visiting your local heating and cooling retail agencies stores.

Much like buying buying a vehicle, one needs to do some comparative shopping to make the correct choice.

If your speaking of replacing the entire heating unit, have the sales rep. visit you. If Burners, as you mentioned, means the internal parts of your existing furnace, you may not have any choice but to replace them with what exists.

As for maintenance, on the new replacement heating units, except of changing filters, there really isn't any homeowners maintenance needed.
