No Heat

I have a Tempstar heater that when the thermostat turned on the ignitor starts a flame, but the heater does not kick in. It was working fine before this. Does anybody have any suggestions.

Based on your problem discription, most likely the prover <that's the item the pilot is heating> is worn out, has a bad connection or is defective.

Another possibilty is the pilot is linted <burning softly and yellowish looking> and just not heating the prover properly.

Contact your local gas utility or servicing agency for the needed repairs.
