Our home needs some additional ventilation. It is too "tight" and we are having some condensation problems on windows and floors.
An air-to-air heat exchanger has been recommended to us, as has just cutting some holes in the ductwork. Your educated thoughts would be welcome!

Question

Hi:scb

I am at a total loss here for an answer to your question. In order for me to help you, help me. Kindly re-post with more detailed information. <Possibly someone else will also post some help.>

QUESTIONS:
What type of heating unit you have.
<Forced warm air-baseboard-radiant-radiators>
Exactly when does this happen?
When heating to what room temperature?
Which room/rooms of the house?
Age of house.
Insulated? Where?
<Attic only or attic and walls?>
Part of the country where you live.

IN THE MEAN TIME:
Try leaving a window open slightly. This may add just enough ventilation and see if the problem is gone or improves. Advise on this also when you post your answers.

Thanks,
Tom
