What would Cause Hot Water Heater Not To Work? I know to check the breaker. But what if it's not the breaker. What else would I check or what else could it be before I start to call someone. Iv'e had this house since 10/99. Since then we have put in a new heating element.
Please Help.

Karen, there are a few reasons for it....if its not the breaker, check for power at the element.... you could have a tripped thermostat, and the reset needs to be reset... you might have another element out... do you drain your water heater tank ? the sediment in the bottom could be causeing them to go out... go to sears and buy a volt ohm meter.. i think you need one .
