Service time

Time for the annual service on an oil fired boiler I would say. Did you just have oil delivered lately? This sometimes stirs up the sediment and when the boiler fires up it pulls in all the junk. Most likely the oil filter is plugged.

oil burner

You should have it serviced every year. It can pay in the fuel it will save. The oil filter and nozzle, regap the electrode's clean out the burner and set the draft and air for a good CO2 and stack temperture. It will pay you back. ED
