Unhappy

I wanted to change my manual Janitrol thermostat to a cheap digital Hunter. Janitrol has seven wires while Hunter has only five. Where will I connect the other two wires (orange and black)?
Please help

First rule of thumb: Write down what the label on the terminal the original t-stat wires are connected to. Color code really doesn't mean much, because various installers use what wire they have, sometimes in non-standard ways. Just mark them according to the terminal labels.

Then, follow the Hunter instructions. There may well be some wires that are not used.

Also, if you have as heat pump instead of ac with gas, oil or electric heat, the thermostat has to be one for heat pumps.
