Relocating home heater
#1

We are moving the heater from a closet in the house, to the garage. The ducting apparently gets smaller as it moves through the house, so it will all have to be replaced. What is the best way to go about this job?
THANK YOU!!

Hi:mefron
The main ducting tubes exiting the heater should be the larger size and those going to the individual rooms are the smaller sized.
If your moving the heater, you should install all new ducting at that time. It's a perfect time to upgrade them anyway.
I suggest you go with the insulated flexable tubing. Be sure to seal all joints with silverbacked tape.
Good Luck,
