Question

I got home this evening to discover that my AC fan was not getting very much air...after investigating I found that the coils were covered in a layer of ice.
My question is once the ice thaws and I turn the fan back on, how do I prevent this from happening again? (I live in cent. FLA and it is very humid this time of year).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

After coil thaw out, make sure filters are clean and if possible blow off coils with an air compresser to make sure you have a good air flow, also check drain to make sure its not blocked. I've had instances where the drain became blocked and the water wouldn't go anywhere except blown up on the coils and freeze up.
Good Luck!

Most common reasons for ICE UP:
-Dirty Filter
-Poor Air Flow
-Low On Freon
