How do I get rid of air bubbles in the line of my boiler system?

i'm assuming that when you say boiler system you have rads in which case you turn the little nob on the end or side of the rad until the air stops hissing out and you get water. be careful this water can be hot. and ours smells oily so we need to open the windows after "bleeding the lines". we do this about every 2 months when the heat is on. you can tell when it needs done the top of the rad will feel cooler then the bottom.
