Question wood burner stove

i just picked a wood burner stove and in the location that i will be placing it in the same location that we have a gas stove (propane) the old laction has a 3" pipe and i under stand i need to do a 6" now ?... would you know the a distance from the wall that it needs to be before you have to put a wall up for the heat?
any help would be great thanks

Lightbulb CODE

Most codes call for 3 ft from walls. And dont forget the floor around it and under it also. You also cant put a wood stove on a class B gas vent.If that is what you have there now. ED

ya i was going to put in a tile floor under the stove and now i will be placeing a wall up also

Check with your local building department. There may be some "wiggle room" on the distance from the walls if you install a "heat shield" on the wall(s) near the stove.
