!!!LOUD!!! Ruud Gas Furnace
I have a Ruud Silhouette gas furnace. It is in a small closet off of my hallway. The induction vent is above the furnace and is also in the hallway. It is LOUD. It appears that everything is working properly, but the system is just LOUD! I put two filters in and i quieted it down about 5%....maybe. (I don't know if two filters is harmful to the syste.) How do I make the system a little more quiet? Did I mention the system is LOUD?
Thanks

Is this a mobile home?
When was this unit serviced.?
If the furnace is working properly the only real way to make it quieter is to put some distance between it and your living space.
That is, relocate it and install ductwork so that the ducts absorb the sound.
Be carefull with two filters because if they provide too much restriction it may be quieter but the plenum temp can get too hot.

We need to know which blower is making the noise.
If it's the blower that sends air through your house and the noise just started I would visually look at the blower with the power off. If it's belt driven you may just need a new belt, also could be that a mouse or something got in there "in the blower wheel" and now it's off balance, could be bad bearings.
If it's the draft inducer motor it probably needs replaced.
Give us as much info as you can.
