cast iron radiators

Hi,

does anyone know how to calculate btu out put of cast iron hot-water radiators? I'm trying to install this type of system in an antique store I am restoring. All I could find on the web was one site that showed calculations in square feet of radiation. Can this be converted into btu's?

Thanks in advance
john

A square foot of water radiation is based on a heat emission of 150 btu per hour per square foot, with standard 70 degree F. air temperature and an average water temperature in the radiator of 170 degrees F.
