The unit keeps shutting off after being on for only 5 seconds! After a few minutes it cuts on again, only to cut off again! Help, it's going down into the 20s in 2 days (South Louisiana!).

The furnce is retrying so I would look at the flame senor. It may only need to be cleaned. If the furnce comes on for only a few seconds, it is trying to prove there is a flame. the sensor is not sending the signal back.
From the ignition module, there should be a wire marked "sensor", follow this to the burner area, clean the metal sensor with a pc of sandpaper.Re try the furnace.Caution to turn the power OFF while cleaning. If you have a glow coil(used to light the burner).
Good Luck,
Mr Foster
