Unhappy

My furnace will not stay on. I did the thermostat test suggested in the previous post, but it still lights for only about 3 or 4 seconds. The furnace in only 2 years old. A repair man is coming tomorrow, I hope, but it sure is cold tonight. Any ideas that I could have one of my neighbors help me with?

Ericka, i take it you have a gas furnace?.. If so, do you see a rod that is incased in ceramic that is near the burners.... try taking a little steel wool and cleaning it

Be a smart consumer. You said the unit is only 2 y.o..Dig out your paper work and warranty info and read it over carefully.I do not know what make you have BUT the repair may be covered under warranty SO DO NOT touch anything. You want to know the exact problem found by the TECH and ask him why such a premature problem occured.Somewhere out there on the net you may find other people whom have experienced the same problem with the same product!!!PDF
