furnace lights, won't blow

At first, my pilot would not stay lit, just keep relighting, now furnace lights, but does not blow.
From reading posts, looks like I need to replace t/c, but why does it not blow?

We need more info...

Type/brand of furance?

Age?

You have a free standing pilot, or is it spark igniton?

ect.. ect..

Just for start since we don't have alot of info..

If the flame only on for a short time. the heat exchanger isn't getting hot enough to trip the fan control to turn on the fan.

If you have A/C, turn the fan switch on the t-stat to "ON", if the fan kicks in, then you are getting power.
