Removing a Furnace.

Hi, I live in a mobile home and we no longer use the furnace, it has no gas running to it. How or what is the process of removing it, to make a closet out of the space. Will I have a big hole in the floor, or any other things I need to know before I take this thing apart, or out. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Diane

if it was a gas unit, there will be a roof penetration as well

i would disconnect the power wire from the breaker, unless you are removing it entirely back to the panel

Wink

Like hvac4u said there will be a hole up in the roof with gas for sure. Then there will be one large hole down into the duct not to the out side. next to it should be a small hole to the out side for air intake. With the furnace out. put insulation in both and just cover them with one piece of plywood is all.
