Blower noise

Just recently I have noticed a noise when my AC is running. I traced it down to the blower unit. It sounded like something was hitting the squirrel cage (like a machine gun). I removed the blower unit from the furnace and place it on my workbench. I carefully inspected the squirrel cage and found no evidence of anything rubbing. I removed the motor and cage and could find nothing that could be touching the cage. At the slower heat speed, there was no noise. As I spin the squirrel cage and look down from the top, it looks like it is slightly out of align.

Could this be the source of the noise at high speed?

Is there a place that can balance/true up the squirrel cage like balancing car tires or do I need to buy a new one?

My furnace is a Bryant and is about 8 years old. Is this something that is common?

Thanks for any advice.
