annual furnace service

Other than cleaning the fan, replacing the filter, and cleaning dust what else should I be doing/looking out for when I am preparing it for winter?

Wink

You dont say what you have there Nat Gas ,LP, Oil ,Elec, heat pump?????. Also how old? Some you have to clean the pilot light, burners and the venturi in them. Some have oil ports on the motors. The filter should be new every 30 to 90 days all the time it runs.
