Honeywell Gas Furnace pilot light problem

The unit is a gas fired Honeywell unit circa 1988 or so,
85K BTU, I don't know the model # off hand.

The problem is the pilot light will extinguish when the control valve is moved from pilot to the on position.

The flame is blue when lit.

Does this sound like a T-coupler gone bad or is it something else ?

The unit is in my girlfriends condo about 80 miles away so I haven't had the chance to play with it myself.

TIA...

Sounds like the thermalcouple. Buy 2 because they always go out on Christmas Eve and you'll be ready with the spare.
