Heater blower fan will not start

My heater fan will not kick on when I fired up the furnace for the first time this year. When I switch the thermostat to the A/C the blower motor will kick in but when set to heat it will not. I can set it to heat and turn the fan to on and it will come on but no heat comes out. I was hoping this was a quick fix for now but doesn't seem like it is. I figure it is the relay not allowing the fan to come on but it seems oldd to me that it would kick on with A/C and not the heat.

When I go downstairs I can hear the exhaust fan kick on and the pilot light fire up but I just don't get anything blowing out the vents.

Same Issue...

I am having the same issue with my furnace. The blower will only come on if I turn the AC on or if I turn the fan to the on position. Does anyone have any advice for this?

Smile It's working now...

Thank you for such a prompt response. Everything is working now. I was just not patient enough. I did not realize I had to wait for a couple minutes for it to kick in.
