Furnace

How do I check to see if the ignition on my furnace is working? My furnace is not working. The reset button does start the furnace for only 15 seconds.
The oil tank is half full. Thanks

Wink

When was the last time it was serviced?????? DONT DONT keep hitting the rest button. You dont know if its the nozzle the filter the electrode's or the transformer. You have to start with the filter and the nozzle then set the electrodes. then check out the transformer.

You can go to http://www.freepoolheat.com/oil.html

Will show how it all works. I think you should call a tech in and go over the burner with him so you know how it all works. Again DONT KEEP HITTING THE RESET.

If you are sure that you didn't run out of fuel since it was serviced, your service company should give you some satisfaction. As Ed said, there could be many things wrong. Or is should say one of many.
